Crepuscular Rays

Earlier this week, Steven and I were at Cowee Mountain Overlook, a great sunset spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway. On that particular afternoon, we were in awe of the crepuscular rays lighting up the mountains in front of us. I happened to notice someone sitting quietly, doing the same thing, so I asked if I could take a picture of him and he agreed. It turned out that he is a photographer/videographer on Instagram (j_kriess). We enjoy meeting and talking with fellow photographers when we are out shooting.

Crepuscular rays are so dramatic especially when they are lighting up the valleys or mountains in the distance. These rays danced across the mountains for quite a while creating a beautiful natural light show.
