On January 4th, our blog was one year old. When Steven and I started, we thought we’d share some things about photography with you. But, after 26 blogs, we learned more about ourselves and our photography instead.
Shooting this year has not been without challenges. Due to the Covid virus, we were housebound for a while and were not able to travel like we normally do. It forced us to find ways to shoot at home. We spent much of spring in our backyard and found it was good for us to have to adapt. Other times, we played with lighting inside the house shooting still life scenes.
I went back to some of my earlier work and looked at it with fresh eyes. It was interesting, not only to see how far I have come, but to try out new skill sets on previous work.
Steven and I studied works of the Great Masters of Art, looking at how they could lead us to improve our photography.
We pushed ourselves to learn new photography and processing techniques.
Finally, writing this blog has been a learning experience and I find that I really enjoy doing it.
What will this new year bring? Quite frankly, I have no idea! However, I am hopeful that it will be a good one.
